THE Latin American Review of Books - LatAmRoB - has been publishing online continuously since 2005 as a small, not-for-profit independent website based in the UK that reviews books and films from and about Latin America.

We carry advertisements in an effort to generate funds to meet our overheads and our titles are linked to online booksellers to provide a service to our readers, but we do not endorse the services or corporate policies of those advertisements we reproduce or booksellers we link to.

We are commerically and politically independent and value, above all, sharp, pithy writing and commentary with attitude that brings to a wider audience knowledge, understanding and insight about all things Latin American.

We welcome comments posted on our site by readers but will not reproduce anything deemed offensive, inappropriate or incendiary.

We also welcome contributions but would prefer not to receive unsolicited material. If you wish to contribute to LatAmRoB or have written a review that you would like us to consider, please read our Guidelines for contributors in the first instance and then contact the editor at:

Publishers and film distributors: LatAmRoB is happy to review your titles and films about or from Latin America and its writers will adopt a constructive and fair approach to assessing the work of your writers and film-makers. If you wish to send us books or films for review, you will find our address on the Contact page.

Writers and agents: Many writers start their careers with small, independent presses or through self-publishing. Their work is often overlooked and they rarely get the feedback they need to help them develop it. However, the Latin American Review of Books can review their work - whether it is in English, Spanish or Portuguese. We give independently published authors a chance to obtain an objective, professional review. This is a paid-for service and helps the Latin American Review of Books fund its wider mission to bring to the attention of a global audience writing about and from Latin America. Advertisers: LatAmRoB welcomes all bona fide advertisements, which help us to support this site, and so contribute to greater understanding of all things Latin American. We offer positions for a range of display advertisements on the homepage and on individual review pages at reasonable and competitive rates. For our rates and criteria please contact us for an Advertising Schedule and we shall send this to you. We also employ Goodle AdSense to provide advertisements when display ads expire, but can switch this off at any time.
